Our Vitality Blend formula contains organic barley grass juice powder. Squeezing the juice from the grass and quickly freeze-drying the liquid helps to preserve the nutrients and make them more easily available to an animal's body. Potential issues with wheat grass include the fact that it is a fibrous grass that makes it harder for the body to get the nutrients out of before it is eliminated. Further, many wheat grass supplements have already had the juice squeezed from them to be used elsewhere and are essentially a fibrous powder. A better alternative if you want more vitamin E for your dog would be to use vegetable/nut/seed oils and our organic Chia Seed Oil is a good choice. Wild canines get the majority of their vitamin E from the organs and stomach contents of their prey, so our Multi Glandular Blend would also be a good choice.
