From your question it sounds like you might be describing fatty lipomas. These are slow-growing, harmless, non-cancerous lumps of soft fat cells that form just under the skin. You can usually distinguish these types of lumps from potential cancerous tumors because they easily move around and aren't attached to the body's tissue.
