I appreciate your enthusiastic quest for a holistic approach to your dog's care. However, I am a little concerned that there may be too many herbal remedies and there is overlap with some. For example the Heart Tonic and Kidney Tonic have similar formulations because the heart and kidneys are interconnected. It wouldn't be necessary to use both remedies and instead I would alternate the two formulas. As far as providing these remedies to your dog, don't make yourself too crazy. It is true that herbal remedies may be better absorbed when provided away from food, and this can be accomplished by mixing the herbal remedies into some treat food like yogurt or apple sauce, ten minutes or so before the main meal. In our busy lives you can also mix the herbal remedies into your pet's meals as we often do. Some remedies are better alone like the Stomach Soother used when there is digestive distress and can be squirted directly in your dog's mouth at the corner (don't tilt head back so none is breathed in). I would like you to fill out our Pet Health Consultation Form so Kassie can make sure that all of these remedies are necessary and what the priorities are. Mention to Kassie that Phil wants her to go over your dog's holistic regimen and make sure all remedies are necessary and not overlapping.
