Bovine Cartilage does not have any consistent side effects for a dog such as diarrhea. However, all dogs and cats are unique and can react differently to a new supplement added to their diet. Let's make sure your small 10 lb dog is getting the proper serving size. He should be starting out with a 1/8 tsp scoop of our Bovine Cartilage supplement (using the scoop provided) once daily. This serving size can be increased to 1/4 tsp scoop daily if his needs for this supplement appear to be greater. If the question as to whether this supplement is causing your dog to have loose stool still exist, stop use of the supplement for a few days and see if his stool goes back to normal. If so, then start out again with just a tiny pinch of the supplement and work up slowly to the recommended serving as your dog adjusts to the new supplement.
