Yes, the Inflammatory Bowel Supplement Package would be helpful for your dog with IBD and can be added directly to his pet food. However, I would highly recommend that you consider a healthier diet for your dog. The Hill's prescription diets are formulated to manage symptoms, but in our experience provide very poor nutrition for the long term health of your dog. A whole food diet, either raw of cooked, would be highly advantageous for your dog's long term health. Whole foods are not only healthier than a processed kibble diet, but easier to digest and absorb, especially for a dog with IBD. In our article How to Feed Your Dog we provide suggestions for how to properly prepare a whole food diet, along with suggestions for other diets like premixes to which you add your own meat. Please use the form on our Contact Us page if you need more help as we have vast experience assisting dogs with IBD in a safe and natural manner. And yes, "per "30 lbs" does refer to your dog's weight.
