Since green lipped mussel are filter feeders they are susceptible to contamination by marine toxins, heavy metals, and microbial contaminants. Our farm-raised elk velvet antler contains a similar joint support nutrient profile to green-lipped mussel, but have less omega fatty acids. On the other hand, elk velvet antler has growth factors that help a body repair tissue that the mussel doesn't have. If you combine our elk velvet antler and Omega-3 Fish Oil you have a very similar supplement to mussel, but with a larger nutrient profile and in our opinion healthier.
