I am told garlic is toxic to cats. Is this exaggerated?

Garlic used appropriately is very healthy for dogs and cats. It is only when used at excessive dosages for a prolonged period of time that can cause some animals issues and even then you would have to ignore warning signs and continue to feed garlic and this would be highly unlikely.
