I suggest that you watch our educational video on Oral Health in Dogs to learn more and consider the supplements described at the end of the video. I also suggest considering a healthy, whole food diet. This is because processed pet foods, like kibble, are very high in carbohydrates, used as fillers and binders, that get stuck in dogs teeth and feed pathogenic oral bacteria that cause tarter to accumulate that leads to gum disease. This diet can be home-prepared, a premix to which you add your own meat or a commercially prepared whole food diet. We offer suggestions in our article How to Feed Your Dog. I also suggest a healthy dog chew (not the gimmicky dental chews high in starches) like the Benebone Dental Chew. You may also wish to consider our Heart Tonic to support your dog's cardiovascular system.
