Our Adrenal Tonic will help to support your dog's natural production of adrenal hormones and can help support cortisol levels when they are low. Hydrocortisone® will replace the deficient natural cortisol and is primarily used for emergency stabilization. If used continuously, this medication will replace natural corisol production and cause the adrenal glands to atrophy requiring medication for life. We also provide an Addison's Support Package that provides more comprehensive support that the Adrenal Tonic alone. These supplements can be used along with medications prescribed by your veterinarian, however medication dosages may have to be adjusted when using adrenal support supplements. Do not adjust the dosage of medications without discussing first with your veterinarian.
