Although the essential oil Clary Sage is not recommended for use on pregnant dogs that is referring to the topical application of the concentrated essential oil. Because Metaclean is a shampoo the soaps in the formula help break down and rinse away the essential oils in the formula. In our opinion Metaclean is a safe shampoo for use with pregnant dogs, however you may have a different opinion. As with any shampoo make sure to rinse well.
