I am not sure that fleas would become "immune" to this supplement. Instead, I think there are two possibilities: one is that there is an increase in the flea population in the environment, and second since parasites like fleas prey on weakened host there may be a decline in the vitality of your dog or cat. Commercial pet foods are very high in carbohydrates and processed ingredients that can create imbalances in dogs and cats over time and make them more attractive to fleas. So, a great place to start is with a healthy, whole food diet. This diet can be home-prepared, a premix to which you add your own meat or a commercially prepared whole food diet.
