My cat was diagnosed with Unclassified Cardiomyopathy. Can the heart tonic be combined with Plavix(blood thinner)?

Can the heart tonic be given to cat that is on blood thinners (Plavix)? Is there any concern with interaction of the two?

Yes, our Heart Tonic can be used with medications like Plavix®. Even though this herbal formula does contain herbs that can have blood-thinning effects like garlic and ginkgo leaf, these herbs are not used in high enough doses in our Heart Tonic to have strong blood-thinning effects like Plavix®. If you wish, to be on the safe side, you can have your veterinarian take the Heart Tonic into account and slightly lower the dosage of the Plavix®.
