Yes, the Sovereign Silver can help with your cat's ear infections. Use one dropper up to three times daily in the ear. Some animals find the liquid in their ears uncomfortable in which case use the silver on a cotton pad to clean the ear. After the silver dries, use our Topical Probiotic to spray the ears or if the spray scares your cat, use with a cotton pad. Be aware that the Topical Probiotic can irritate damaged skin. This will bring beneficial flora into the ear to out-compete pathogenic bacteria and yeast. This should be done for at least two to three weeks even if your cat seems better. Then after this use two to three times per week to keep the ears healthy. I would use our Microbiome Harmony supplement with probiotics and a unique prebiotic to quickly populate the digestive tract with bacteria. To support the immune system internally you can also use the silver or our Echinacea for a couple of weeks. The high amounts of carbohydrates in most commercial pet foods can feed opportunistic bacteria and yeast and weaken the immune system. Cats also need to derive the majority of their moisture from their diet so a wet diet is very important. For this reason we suggest a whole food diet that can be either raw or cooked or next best a meat-based (not fish) canned cat food and we provide some suggestions in our article How to Feed Your Cat.
