I am glad to hear that your senior cat is doing well with our Kidney Tonic Brandy. From your question I am not sure what type of urinary disease is impacting your new kittens - infection or poor kidney function? However, Colostrum can support the urinary system for young and older cats by supporting the immune system, reducing inflammation and promoting tissue repair. For your kittens I feel that the prescription diet is a mistake in that it provides poor overall nutrition, is likely dry, kibble (cats need moisture from their diet to keep their urinary tracts healthy), and will addict the kittens to a kibble diet for their lifetimes due to the flavor-enhancers (aka palatants) these diets use. Instead, I suggest a healthy, whole food diet for your kittens, with a raw food diet being the best diet for cats or a high-quality meat-based canned cat food (not fish based). We offer some suggestions in our article How to Feed Your Cat. I also feel that the Bioprepartion F3 Forte formula would be a good idea to help provide cellular nutrition for these young cats and will also help to support their urinary system. Use just a tiny pinch, about 1/16 of a capsule 2x daily - estimate as best as you can and mix it into wet food or a treat food like organic yogurt or perhaps they will even lick it off a plate mixed in with the colostrum and some water.
