What I feel may be happening with your dog is that our Systemic Enzymes are helping her to get more nutrition from the food she ingested leading to her being less hungry. I understand that you are giving these enzymes away from food, but there is always some food remaining in the digestive tract. These enzymes may be helping to break down this food, providing her with more nutrition so she is less hungry. Try to give these systemic enzymes one hour before food or two hours after food so they don't work as much on food but instead enter the blood stream. We give our dogs these enzymes with coconut oil and this helps get the dog to lick your fingers and produce saliva to help move the enzymes capsules into the stomach (people would drink a glass of water). Coming back to the point about not being as hungry, as an animal ages they produce less digestive enzymes and have a harder time breaking down and getting all the nutrients from the food they eat and this can make them more hungry. Perhaps your dog could also benefit from our Daily Multi Plus that contains digestive enzymes and probiotics that is provided with food to help animals better digest their meals. I would only be concerned with your dog's lack of appetite if she starts to loose weight and if this happens get in touch with us at support@thephnc.com so we can discuss further.
