Our Antilithic herbal remedy for dogs and cats will not thin the blood. There is no direct reason for you to discontinue the remedy for your dog's surgery. However, since your dog will be receiving a number of medications including anesthesia and pain management etc.., I might consider stopping the remedy for the day of the surgery and one or two days afterward just so your dog is not getting too much during his recovery. The medications your dog will receive may cause stomach upset so I am just erring on the side of caution.
