The way I would accomplish this transition is to begin using our Female Incontinence remedy according to our instructions. Then, after about two weeks, begin to slowly reduce the Proin® dosage. When reducing or eliminating medications we suggest discussing how to do this properly with your veterinarian. Note how your dog is doing and if the medication can be eliminated entirely or if a certain dosage of the medication is still needed. If hormonal imbalance is the primary cause of your dog's incontinence, I suggest adding in an ovary glandular supplement (found online) to use along with our Female Incontinence remedy. We will have our own ovary glandular supplement for dogs and cats available shortly so please check back with us. Keep in mind that dosages for supplements found online are for people (150 lbs) so the dosage for your dog has to be adjusted lower according to her weight.
