Eosinophilic gastroenteritis is a condition related to the build up of white blood cells in the digestive tract in response to food and results in uncomfortable digestive symptoms. Our goal for your dog is to promote better digestion so food is digested into smaller particles that do not trigger an immune response. Provide your dog with our Bilious Vomiting Supplement Package. In addition, provide our Herbal Digestive Tonic to promote the secretion of digestive juices and our Digestive Enzymes and Probiotics formula to add additional digestive support to your dog's meals. Finally, formulate a healthy, whole food diet or purchase a prepared whole food diet and we provide suggestions in our article How to Feed Your Dog. At first, it would be helpful to put your dog's meals through a blender or food processor to make the meals more easily digestible. If your dog does vomit again after adding our supplements to his meals, as can happen with animals that have an irritated stomach, slow down and start with one supplement at a time and add the others in as your dog gets better. Any medications that inhibit stomach acid, such as Omeprazole®, or coat the stomach, such as Sucralfate®, will interfere with what we are trying to accomplish which is improving the digestion of food.
