While our Antimicrobial formula could be helpful for a UTI, we instead have a formula called UTI Relief more specifically focused for the urinary tract. Use the UTI Relief for two weeks 2 - 3x daily. If needed take a one week break and use again for another two weeks. I also suggest using the Sovereign Silver liquid during this period as well. The silver should be placed directly in your dog's mouth while the UTI Relief can be mixed in a small amount of treat food or in meals. It is important to get beneficial bacteria to the urinary tract, especially after colonies have been eliminated due to antibiotic usage. This loss of beneficial bacteria is a major cause of repeated urinary tract infections. There are two ways to do this. The first is to use our Topical Probiotic Spray to lightly spray, not wet, the vulva on a female dog 2-3x daily. Another way is to use a probiotic suppository that is inserted directly in the xxxx and this can be found on Amazon. This probiotic suppository may be too large for smaller dogs so you will have to see how it works for your size pet. Lastly, dry kibble pet food can contribute to urinary tract infections by negatively impacting the kidneys and urinary tract, so we recommend switching to a wet pet food and we offer some suggestions in our article How to Feed Your Dog.
