Daily Multi Plus for Dogs and Cats
I was just reading about your chia seed oil and I saw in a response to a question you mention that chia seed oil has a lot of oxalates which is not good for cats with kidney disease. I googled it and chia seeds has a high oxalate amount so is this really alright to give to a cat with Stage 2 Kidney Disease?

Yes, our Daily Multi Plus is fine for your cat with kidney disease. The chia seeds in our DMP are just one component of our vitamin formula and not in a concentrated form like chia seed oil, making them safe for the kidneys. Oxalates are found in many plants and are safe when consumed in moderation. In addition, nature provides balance, as chia seeds are also a good source of calcium, which binds to oxalates to prevent their absorption. So, while we like to err on the side of caution with more concentrated sources of oxalates like oils for those animals with kidney issues, there is no need to be overly concerned with unprocessed, whole foods like organic chia seeds.
