Natures Variety Beef Knuckle Raw Dog Bones Feeding Instructions
These bones are considered recreational bones and feeding the properly sized bones for your particular dog is important. For the heavy chewers who try to get the bones in their back teeth to break them, they may crack a tooth if they try to break too large a bone. Also, dogs that have poor dental health may crack teeth, especially those that have been fed a poor diet and never had raw bones before. If there is any concern, have your dog's teeth checked, preferably by a good holistic vet that understands feeding raw bones, to make sure there is no dental disease or weak teeth present before trying the larger meaty bones. Always monitor your dog when feeding raw bones. Feed as a recreational treat 1 to 2 bones per week. Discard bones within 1 day after feeding because fresh raw bones will harden up, and be more prone to splintering when left out to dry for prolonged periods. Please be advised recreational raw bones are dense and are not meant for prolonged chewing. Prolonged chewing may cause unwanted wear to your pets teeth.
SAFE HANDLING: Keep raw bones frozen until ready to use. Keep raw bones separate from other foods. Wash all work surfaces including cutting boards, utensils and hands after handling raw bones. Keep raw meats and poultry away from children.
