What will my shipping charges be?
Select from over 1000 healthy items for you dogs, cats and birds and have them arrive at your doorstep for only $4.95 (more details here) on orders shipped within the contiguous U.S. This policy excludes pet food and some other heavy items. See below for more details on shipping frozen pet food. You can see your actual shipping charges at checkout prior to submitting your payment information.

When will my order ship?
Orders of in-stock items received before 12:00PM EST are shipped the same day! Please keep in mind that if you order an item for next day delivery or other express service, you must take the possible extra 24hr. processing time into account, depending on when your order is placed. If you want to check item availability and shipping time, please feel free to contact us - we will be more than happy to help! After placing your order, you may click the My Account link to track the status of your order. You will receive a shipment confirmation when your order has shipped, and tracking information will be available in the order status area.

Out of stock items
If any backordered items are expected back in stock shortly we will hold your order to ship it out in its entirety, or we will ship the backordered items at our expense as soon as they arrive back in stock if we feel the delay will be too long. You are only billed for items when they ship.

Dry, Kibble Dog and Cat Food
Due to the very low margins and heavier weight associated with kibble pet foods we can not include these items in our special shipping policy. Please select the appropriate FedEx shipping option at checkout when ordering dry, kibble dog or cat foods.

Raw/Frozen Product Shipping Policy

ORDERS MUST BE RECEIVED BY THURSDAY 12:00PM EASTERN STANDARD TIME TO BE SHIPPED OUT THE CURRENT WEEK TO ENSURE YOUR ORDER ARRIVES BY SATURDAY.
FROZEN PET FOOD REQUIRES TWO-DAY DELIVERY TO ENSURE YOUR PRODUCT ARRIVES FRESH. ALL ORDERS WEST OF THE MISSISSIPPI AND THE EXTREME SOUTHERN U.S. MUST BE SHIPPED FEDEX 2DAY . PLEASE SEE MAP BELOW FOR AREAS OF THE COUNTRY THAT EXCEED 2 DAYS STANDARD GROUND SHIPPING AND MUST BE UPGRADED TO FEDEX 2DAY. IF YOU ARE IN A ONE OR TWO DAY DELIVERY ZONE STANDARD FEDEX GROUND SERVICE IS ADEQUATE AND YOU DO NOT HAVE TO UPGRADE.

Minimum Orders
Unlike most other companies we have no minimum order! For cost effectiveness, we recommend you order as close to 32lbs in frozen items as you can which makes the most efficient use of packaging (fits in our largest box at $11.00). But that is up to you and your freezer capacity.

How are frozen items Shipped?
The Pet Health and Nutrition Center ships by FedEx. Orders are packed using a special thermal lined box and an ice block. Our packaging is much more environmentally friendly than styrofoam packaging. You may request delivery to your home or to your office if you prefer. You need not be home to accept delivery, as long as you can specify a safe place for the delivery person to leave your package, preferably out of direct sun. Once the package is released by the delivery person, we cannot be responsible for loss, theft, or damage to the contents. If left in the sun for a full day when you are not home, the shipment may be damaged.

Frozen Item Shipping Days
The Pet Health and Nutrition Center generally ships frozen items Monday through Thursday only. This is done to ensure delivery will occur by Saturday (FedEx Home Delivery delivers on Saturday). Orders placed between Thursday afternoon and Sunday will be shipped the following Monday. We cannot be responsible for mishandling or late delivery of boxes by FedEx.

Are there any guarantees on frozen items?

Shipment of perishable items is not guaranteed by any common carrier. We will always stand behind our products 100%, but we cannot accept responsibility for shipping problems that are beyond our control.

Can I return frozen items?
Unfortunately, frozen items can't be returned because we can not offer these products for sale to other customers due to the uncertainty of how they were handled after leaving our premises.

What if the Food I Receive is Not Totally Frozen?
As long as the food is at refrigerator temperatures there is no need to worry. It is okay to refreeze the product. Generally speaking, once defrosted, raw diets can keep up to 3-5 days in the refrigerator.
