Using our Liver Glandular Supplement as part of glandular therapy for dogs and cats is one of the simplest, safest and effective Holistic modalities available to us. Essentially, the science behind the use of a Liver Glandular Supplement for pets, is that glands, when taken internally, support and nourish the corresponding gland in the body.
In the wild, the ingestion of glands is part of an animals nutrition and glandular supplementation is obviously missing from the majority of domesticated animals diets. For example, we use Thyro Complex or a thyroid glandular supplement to support an under-performing or damaged Thyroid gland and then also provide BioPreparation, which will help to support and strengthen the entire endocrine system. Our Liver Glandular Supplement consists of lyophilized, freeze dried, certified pure New Zealand glands and tissues from free-range, antibiotic and hormone free animals.
Supports and nourishes a stressed, weak or underperforming liver.
A simple, safe and effective Holistic modality.
Provide glandular supplementation, common in wild animals, for our domesticated animals.
Glandular Supplements and tissues are good sources of enzymes, fats, steroids, nutraceuticals and proteins.
May have a sparing effect on functional health problems such as hormone deficiency, without suppressing the body's natural production. This is in contrast to the use of high doses of purified hormones administered pharmacologically that are believed to inhibit further hormone production by the body itself.
Oral administration of tissue extracts from healthy sources may have the potential to slow the progression of degenerative disease or to promote healing of damaged tissues.

How Do Glandular Supplements for Pets Work?
Glandular therapies involve feeding glands, organs or tissues from healthy animals to patients. Supplements are given either as fresh tissue or as tissue extracts in the hope that the supplement contains constituents that will help improve the function of the corresponding organ in the patient. One of the basic concepts of glandular therapy is that the oral ingestion of glandular material of a certain animal gland will strengthen the corresponding human gland. The result is a broad general effect indicative of improved glandular function. Thus, glandular therapy increases the tone, function, and/or activity of the corresponding gland.
Do Studies Show Glandular Supplements for Pets are Effective?
Radioactive and dye studies have demonstrated that large hormones, enzymes, proteins and peptides from a Glandular Supplement are routinely absorbed intact or only partially degraded, and that these constituents can concentrate in target tissues. Laboratory studies have documented a more rapid uptake of tagged cells or their components by traumatized organs than normal organs, leading to enhanced healing rates. These observations have lead to the resurgence of interest in Glandular Supplements for Pets
How safe are Glandular Supplements for Pets?
There are no apparent side effects of this form of supplementation. The low doses of supplemental enzymes and hormones such as the levels that would be found in Glandular Supplements may have a sparing effect on functional health problems such as hormone deficiency, without suppressing the bodys natural production. This is in contrast to the use of high doses of purified hormones administered pharmacologically that are believed to inhibit further hormone production by the body itself.
